Addiction & Compulsive Behaviors Therapy

You're tired of going back to the same thing.

Maybe it's alcohol, drugs, porn, gambling, or another behavior.

You may use it when you're stressed, lonely, bored, angry, or overwhelmed.

For a while, it helps you feel better.

Then you feel worse.

You tell yourself you'll stop or cut back. But when the same feelings come back, so does the behavior.

You want to break that cycle.

What if you didn't need it anymore?

You could deal with stress without needing to escape.

You could sit with hard feelings instead of trying to shut them off.

You could trust yourself again.

You could make choices based on what you want for your life, not what gives you relief right now.

How we can work on it

We'll look at what happens before you turn to the behavior.

What were you feeling? What were you thinking? What happened that day?

We'll also look at what the behavior gives you and why it has become so hard to stop.

Then we'll work on new ways to deal with stress, urges, and hard emotions.

I bring both clinical experience and personal experience with addiction and recovery to this work.

You don't have to be ashamed of where you are. We can start from where you are and work from there.
